One get’s to a point in their racing carer where they have to ask, “How Do I Display My Race Bling?”
*I received this medal hanger in exchange for an honest review, as always all opinions are my own*
My Better Half Marathon marked the start of the 2016 race calendar for me. Then I set an epic PR at the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon in May. Shaving over 20 minutes off my best half marathon time felt incredible, proof that my new training regiment and nutrition guidelines really work, (If you need help slimming down and finishing your best triathlon make sure to check out my coaching page.) Next up the Snoqualmie Valley Run Half Marathon then Seattle Rock n Roll which makes June my biggest half marathon month of all time! I am beyond excited for these up coming races. And did I mention that Snoqualmie Valley Run boasts a gorgeous course on flat country roads, which means I am hoping to set yet another PR in 2016! With so many races, and a ton of beautiful race bling one eventually has to ask the question, how do you display your race bling? I am happy to say I have found the most beautiful medal hanger display out there, and I am going to share it with you today! How do you display your race bling? #Triathlete #Runner Click To Tweet
Medal Hanger Displays
Let’s talk medal hangers for a minute. There are a ton of different designs out there, from the DIY anything goes, to painted peg boards, and even custom made wooden holders. But when it comes to medal hangers I am incredibly picky. So picky in fact that I haven’t displayed my 8 years worth of medals because I hadn’t found a display I enjoyed. Then one day browsing through instagram I came across Allied Medal Hangers. These medal hangers take displaying your race bling to a whole new level. As an added bonus Allied Medal Hangers is a small, family owned company in Redmond, Washington, I love supporting local! Their medal hangers are designed, cut, grained, to perfection leaving you with a clean and beautiful display! And with tons of designs ranging from Triathlon Specific, to Motivational, to Cityscapes and more there is truly something for everyone. In fact the hardest thing about ordering my Allied Medal Hanger was deciding which style I wanted to hang on my wall forever because there where several designs I loved!
When it came down to it I had to decide between the Seattle Skyline, my home town, and the female Mountainscape, as I have lived in the shadow of the cascades and the rocky mountains. I ended up going with the mountain design which was also a good fit for my husband who has always lived in the mountains. I love this clean beautiful display, and now I have my race accomplishments hanging where I can see them daily and feel inspired. My next big challenge to find the box full of all of medals from my first five years. My medal hanger is already looking pretty full, I may just need to get another one of these beautiful displays for the other side of my room!
I wan to hear form you, tell me how you show off your race bling?
